The Most Exotic Fruit In The World
Zapote and Chicozapote, nanches, timbiriches, pitahayas, prickly pears, soursops, garambullos, capulín, tejocotes, and mameyes. However, in my country, all of them are common fruits:
Nanche, with which delicious sweets and ice cream are made:
Zapote and Chicozapote
Garambullos
Capulín
pitahayas (which you will know as dragonfruit or dragon fruit)
mamey
And of course, the most symbolic Mexican fruit, the fruit of the nopal, the heart of the hero Tenoch, the prickly pears.
I once ate three kilos of prickly pears in one sitting, because they are delicious and very cheap (something like 2 and a half kilos for half a US dollar)
It is a blessing to be Mexican, you have many “rare” fruits almost all year round and at a ridiculously cheap price =)
